Congratulations to our newest Featured Business: BF&R Fence
We are proud to announce that BF&R Fence has been chosen as the next Irondequoit Chamber Featured Business. Owned by Irondequoit resident, Jeremy Malone, BF&R Fence opened in 2007. BF&R, which stands for Basement Finishing & Remodeling started out as a basement remodeling company until one day one of Malone's employees suggested they do fencing.
“I gave it a shot", said Malone. “by 2009 we were only doing fences".
This local company offers its customers quality work with open communication throughout the process. BF&R currently has four employees and they are fully insured. They promise that they meet all permit requirements from area towns and offer the longest labor and workmanship warranty in the area.
Malone and his wife did not grow up in Irondequoit but rather moved here in 2002 where their children were born and raised. Since then, the Malone's have been very active in the Irondequoit community.
“I do though, consider myself from Irondequoit now. I'm very proud of the relations I've built with West Irondequoit School District and the Irondequoit DPW over the years. We've done many projects for both." Malone tells us.
The Malone's donate thousands of dollars annually to youth sports programs in Irondequoit. They contribute to many of the local football teams including the Junior Eagles where Malone was an assistant coach for the organization for six years. They also contribute to the Eagles Football Boosters as well.
Malone's future business plans are simple; to hand over a successful company to his two children.
“I want them to be able to continue what I've grown from nothing," Malone says. “Also, I would like to be able to continue/grow my relations with the community and continue giving back".
