May 24, 2014

(L to R) Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce Board President Fred Squicciarini with scholarship recipients Kiaira Anglero, Marisa Bernardi and Jack De Yaeger.

On May 13, the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce recognized three local graduating seniors who have demonstrated aptitude and academic excellence in business. We proudly support our future business leaders and presented these students with scholarship checks. Each student also received certificates of recognition from both the offices of Monroe County Clerk Cheryl Dinolfo and NY State Senator Ted O'Brien.

The 2014 scholarship winners are:

Kiaira Anglero, Eastridge High School. Kiaira is a student leader, community volunteer, high honor roll scholar, athlete and musician. She currently ranks in the top 25 of her class and is a candidate to receive the Regents with Advanced Designation Diploma at graduation. Kiaira plans to major in Accounting at Ithaca College. Kiaira says, “ I thank the Chamber, and my mother, grandmother for their support, and also all the support at Eastridge from my teachers, counselors and administrators.”

Marisa Bernardi, Bishop Kearney High School. Marisa is a community volunteer, award-winning varsity athlete, high honor roll student scholar and a beloved school leader.
