I-Square Ribbon Cutting on Earth Day

Apr 22, 2016

I-Square held the grand opening ribbon cutting today of their Recycling and Refuse Collection Center located at 2 Stranahan Park. The 3,000 SF building houses the Irondequoit Conference Center's laundry facilities and storage, and facilitates for the recycling and refuse collection program that will serve the entire I-Square site.

The parking lot, which adds 39 spaces to the site, is constructed of permeable material which is part of the Stormwater Management System at I-Square, with the goal to substantially reduce stormwater flows into Lake Ontario.

I-Square owners and developers Mike and Wendy Nolan welcomed members of the Irondequoit Town Board, including newly sworn-in Supervisor Dave Seeley, as well as Monroe County Clerk Adam Bello. FOX/Channel 13 news and WXXI covered the event.

Mr. Nolan also took the time to thank Larson Engineers and Genesee Regional Bank for their roles in the creation of I-Square, and dedicated I-Square staffers Leslie DiCesare and Diane for their daily efforts to make I-Square run smoothly.

The Recycling and Refuse Collection Center is the second building to be completed in the I-Square project.
