​Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce announces Annual Persons of the Year & Beautification Awards

The Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that John and Peter Mendick

have been selected as our Persons of the Year. The award will be presented at the Chamber's Annual Awards Dinner on January 26, 2018, at the Rochester Yacht Club. John and Peter Mendick have spent years supporting their local community through organizations like the Irondequoit Rotary, St. Josaphat's Church, and Christ the King Church. They have also supported local education with generous donations to Bishop Kearney High School, St. John Fisher College, and Niagara University. The Mendrick family, through the Theodore and Cashmere M. Mendick Foundation Inc., has supported the purchase of an ambulance for Irondequoit Ambulance, and supplied defibrillators to local churches and St. Paul Fire Department.

The Beautification Awards honorees for Best New Building, Best Renovation, and Best Re-purposed Building in Irondequoit are:

Best New Building – Panera Bread, 1015 East Ridge Road.

Best Renovation – Adrian Jules Custom Clothier, 1392 East Ridge Road.

Best Re-Purposed Building – U-Haul Moving and Storage, 1106 East Ridge Road.

The Beautification Awards will also be presented on Friday, January 26, 2018, during the Irondequoit Chamber's Annual Awards Dinner celebration. The event is open to the public.
