Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce Annual Charity Mini Golf Tournament Raises $850 for Local Sunset House

Sep 20, 2021

The Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce hosted their third annual fundraising event appropriately renamed the J. Genier Charity Mini Golf Tournament. The mini golf tournament was created to raise money for the local Sunset House by the late Judge Joe Genier who also served on the Irondequoit Chamber Board of Directors.

The annual event is held at Parkside Whispering Pines, the oldest miniature golf course in upstate New York.  It includes golf, dinner at Parkside Diner, 50/50 and gift raffles.  The winners of the 2021 tournament, Team Puzzle HR/Shaheen (Jon Spike, Dave Shaheen, and Susan Todd) will be the first team to be featured on the new J. Genier Winner's Plaque that will be displayed at Parkside Diner while Team Hunt #1 were the proud winners of this year's Plunger award.

"We are proud of our success and the community", said Irondequoit Chamber Administrative Assistant, Nicole Shopp. "It makes all the planning and work worth it".

The Irondequoit Chamber was able to raise $850 for the Sunset House.
