Thai Mii Up Opens in Irondequoit

Jun 22, 2016

Linda Seng with family, and Irondequoit Town Supervisor Dave Seeley, Chamber Board VP Alice Hansen, President Rich Orzcyk, and Past President Fred Squicciarini.

Linda Seng not only celebrated her 31st birthday on June 20, but also the grand opening of her new Irondequoit restaurant, Thai Mii Up. (Mii means "noodles" in Lao.)

Linda is a licensed real estate broker and studied social work in college, but her passion is in creating something for the future of her family.

Already an experienced restaurateur having previously owned a restaurant in Niagara Falls, Linda is excited to bring yet more diversity to the array of restaurant options we enjoy in Irondequoit with her blend of the cuisines of Thailand and Laos. She says that her unique Laotian home-style cooking will stand out as unique in Rochester.

Linda is supported by her entire family, and cites her father Kongchai Phiethep as her main inspiration, who for 30 years worked for Wegmans and started the wokerys at the grocery chain.

Thai Mii Up is located at 1780 East Ridge Road (in the former Pizza Hut). Open Monday-Thursday 11AM - 9:30PM, Fri/Sat 11AM-10:30PM, Sunday 10AM-7PM. Take out is available. Delivery coming soon.
