Since hitting the scene as a small business owner, Tony, has jumped head-first into the Irondequoit business community, promoting and supporting his peers.  Tony is an Irondequoit resident, thoughtfully supporting local in his decisions for himself and his family.

In his short tenure on the Irondequoit Chamber Board, Tony has served on multiple committees and recently has taken on a larger role working directly with membership. His business, NY CloudTech Advisors, has sponsored many community events over the years and currently is the sole sponsor of our Spark Sessions.

How many years has the company been in business? 3 years

What type of service does your business offer?  NY CloudTech Advisors helps businesses make better decisions about recurring technology and operating services. We review internet and connectivity, business phone systems, outdated phone lines, utilities, and related technology expenses. We compare providers, explain the available options in plain language, and help coordinate implementation.

What made you choose to open or take on your business? After spending several years helping grow a national cybersecurity and technology services company, I saw how difficult it was for business owners to evaluate providers and manage multiple technology vendors. I founded NY CloudTech Advisors to give organizations an independent resource that could help them understand their options, select the right providers, and stay involved through the transition.

Why choose Irondequoit for your business’ home? Irondequoit is my home and the community where I am raising my family. It was important to build the business locally, contribute to the community, and help Irondequoit organizations make better technology and vendor decisions.

How many employees does your business employ? NY CloudTech Advisors is currently an owner-led business supported by a network of specialized engineering, installation, and technology partners. Founder Tony Coughlin is an Irondequoit resident.

What do you want potential customers to know about your business?  We are not tied to a single carrier or technology provider. Our role is to understand what the client needs, compare the available options, and recommend the best fit.

In many cases, our advisory services are paid for by the provider selected by the client, similar to an insurance or benefits broker. That allows businesses to receive independent guidance and implementation support without adding another consulting expense.

We also tell clients when keeping their current service is the right decision. The goal is not simply to sell something new. It is to help the client make a confident, defensible decision.

What community service has your business been involved in or organizations do you support that you would like to tell the community about?  NY CloudTech Advisors sponsors the Irondequoit Chamber’s Spark Sessions, which are designed to provide practical education around the real operational challenges local businesses face.

We are also helping coordinate technology and business-development programming for a Ukrainian Open World delegation visiting Rochester in September.
