Spring Shop Irondequoit Business Sign Up
Apr 06 - May 03, 2021
The Irondequoit Rotary and the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce are partnering on a project to help bring more customers to Irondequoit business locations, websites and/or Facebook pages. Your business is invited to be part of this project, called ‘Spring Shop Irondequoit’ and/or to donate items to be used as prizes, to help attract customer participants. There will be a $500 grand prize, donated by the Irondequoit Rotary to the winner!
There is no cost to be a participating business. The number of participating businesses will be limited to 48. Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce business members will have an exclusive signup week in advance, with an early deadline of Monday, April 12th to be part of this project. After that, it will be open to all Irondequoit businesses, with an overall, final signup deadline of Monday, May 3rd.
What is Spring Shop Irondequoit?
A trivia style game where participants receive game cards with 48 businesses on them. Each business will provide a brief question that customers can answer through a visit to a business’s location, website or Facebook page. Businesses may also choose to include a special offer, such as a discount, to customers who bring in the game card. The goal is to drive more customers to the businesses or, for people who can not or do not wish to be out in public, to their websites or Facebook pages.
Customers who complete all 48 business questions correctly and return their playing card by the deadline will be entered into a drawing for the $500 grand prize funded through the Rotary new member grant, as well as other items that have been donated by businesses. Cards must be postmarked by, or received through email, by Saturday, May 29th. The playing cards will be distributed throughout the town for approximately 30 days and available on the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce and Irondequoit Rotary websites beginning on Friday, May 7.

The project is a facet of the Rotary’s new member grant program, which provides $500 for new members to do a community project and is an extension of the chamber’s annual summer Shop Irondequoit initiative. Aware of the decline in business caused by the Covid pandemic, new Rotary member Dave Long contacted the Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce to discuss a project to help bring more customers to Irondequoit businesses.
